Maroon 5 是一個我滿喜歡的樂團. 認識他是從電影Love Actually 裡的兩首歌 Sweetest Goodbye/Sunday Morning 開始的.
主唱的歌聲有一種不可言喻的魔力. 做出來的音樂也相當有特色. 我不想紙上談兵, 所以有興趣聽聽看的朋友可以到 Maroon5 website, 或聽聽看我設定在blog裡的音樂欣賞一下.
Maroon5在台灣被翻成"魔力紅", 這譯名似乎有著一種台灣翻譯特有的Fusion味, 唱片公司把樂團的形象, 發音, 以及文字本身的意義融合在一起, 有點像是參在一起做雜碎麵的感覺. 不過這是不是一種自作主張的翻譯呢? 既然我也沒確認過這個樂團取名子時有沒有什麼理由, (我想一般通告訪問總不免要問, 為什麼你們取這個團名), 而且我起初只是因為喜歡他們的音樂, 所以其他的因素我就不太在意了.

According to 以上Dr.Eye的解釋, 我想如果翻譯成"流浪五人組", 可能會變成失敗中的失敗, 所以即使魔力紅這個譯名怪怪的, 就還是讓他用這個名子在台灣市場打天下吧!

最近Maroon5 第二張專輯即將發行, 我找到MV之後, 才驚覺那個有魔幻vocal的主唱竟然長的一付男模樣! 說實在的, 我實在希望他長的怪一點, 因為主唱的嗓音真的是有無限魔力, 長這麼帥實在很難讓人專注在聲音上. 推薦如下., Make Me Wonder.
